Mayor Gondola Sighting at Bluerock Airport

The missing mayor has been located back in Cinniapolis. Mayor Gondola was seen exiting his private jet and swiftly being driven away by a fleet of black HSL SUVs. This marks the first time the mayor has been seen in public since early September. Mayor Gondola is notoriously bashful around the press but never before has he been unavailable for comment for several weeks. The mayor’s whereabouts have been a pressing topic recently as public calls for a special election have gone without a response from him or his administration.

“At least pretend you are doing the job. Give off the appearance of working. Better to be a hard worker with bad results than be totally absent with bad results,” said Waldo Penney, owner of Penney’s Fish Market. Mr. Penney has been publicly criticizing Mayor Gondola since the onset of the pandemic restrictions. Although his business thrived during the pandemic, he has repeatedly stated he doesn’t think his business would be so lucky if more restrictive regulations were enforced in the name of climate change. “I would be bankrupt instantly. I would no longer be able to provide fresh product. The freshness of our catches set us apart from big box stores. If we can’t offer quality fish, then we’ll be priced out of the market. Plain and simple,” he said.

We hope to hear from Mayor Gondola now that he has been spotted in public again. We reached out to his office for a comment and were advised the mayor will be in attendance to ceremonially send off the new fleet of electric snow plows onto the streets of Cinniapolis for this weekend’s big snow.
