The theatre was built as an addition to The Great Eastern Hotel in 1952. The original structure was used to board soldiers training for deployment in the 1930s and 1940s. It was decommissioned in 1950 and converted into a theatre for stage plays, opera, ballet, concerts, and local student productions. The seating capacity is 800. Style inspired by art deco inside and outside, this was a must see for any Cinniapolis citizen or visitor, prior to the events following the Freedom Forever Rally.
